Feminist Multilateralism

The Asterism Initiative is delighted to partner with Karama on a timely and much-needed initiative on Feminist Multilateralism. As part of Asterism's Policy and Strategy work, this is a long-term collaborative effort to center women as the architects of multilateral renewal, built through a process that is political, pragmatic, and ambitious, and that addresses the sources of inequity currently embedded in the international system.
You can read more in our new policy paper, which covers the need for the initiative and the principles that underpin it.
We launched this work at a high level event during the 81st United Nations General Assembly, "High-Level Dialogue on Reinvigorating Feminist Multilateralism", in partnership with the governments of Mexico and Finland, with UN Women, and civil society partners Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative, WEDO, ARROW, and FEMNET.

More to come, but in the meantime, please be in touch if you would like to discuss further.
